-9am-12pm + 1 hour prep at home
-Hours and days cannot be altered
contract.-$30/hr ($120 day) (Contract total $1440 for 12 days of tutoring)

TutorFly is seeking two professional tutors who specialize in 4th and 5th grade math and ELA to work on a contract-by-contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a work history of tutoring or teaching.  The tutor should consider themselves a tutoring professional and come equipped with the tools of the trade as an independent contractor, i.e.: laptop, student motivational skills, student behavior modification skills, and content communication skills. As a professional tutor, you should be adept at meeting students where they’re at and scaffolding them up to grade level and beyond. You will be trained on TutorFly’s assessment and curriculum software, which you will run on your laptop. As a professional tutor, though, we will assume that you will come equipped with years of pedagogical experience. In addition to teaching skills, professional tutor contractors will need to hold themselves to a high professional standard of timeliness and attendance, attentiveness to students, lesson preparation, and progress communication.

This is an in-person, on-campus position taking place three weeks before school starts. You will be working with groups of 2-3 4th and 5th graders on a rotating basis.

Minimum Requirements to Maintain Contract:

• Always on-time
• NJ School Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Be aware of contracted dates and times
• Available every Monday thru Thursday from August 12-29
• 12 day contract
• Able to master our tutoring platform before first tutoring session
• Subject-matter expertise in K-12 English and/or K-12 Math.
• Documented professional tutoring or teaching experience
• Professional demeanor with students, school admin, and parents
• Reliable transportation
• Reliable laptop
• Come to all sessions prepared.
• Able to tutor with cell-phone out of sight
